Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 October 2026
1. Who we are
NAVOLIS is an independent software company and publisher. For questions about this policy or your data, contact support@navolis.com.
2. Scope
This policy covers the NAVOLIS website and Smart Inventory. Optical OS is an upcoming product; its data handling will be described when it becomes available. Services provided by other companies, including Microsoft Store, have their own privacy policies.
3. How Smart Inventory handles your data
Smart Inventory is designed as a fully offline, local-first application. Your inventory and business data is stored locally on the device where the app is installed and is not sent to NAVOLIS servers or to a cloud database. The app does not require a user account and does not use cloud synchronization. Business records may contain personal information if you enter it (for example a customer name or contact detail); that information stays on your device with the rest of your data. Avoid entering unnecessary personal or sensitive information.
4. Website visits and enquiries
This website provides company and product information and email links. It does not include a contact form, customer account system, checkout or advertising trackers added by NAVOLIS. When you email us, your email address, message and any attachments are provided to NAVOLIS and the email services involved in delivery. Website hosting and third-party resources, including Google Fonts, may process technical request information such as IP address and browser information under their own policies.
5. How information is used
Inventory and business data is processed on your device only, to provide Smart Inventory's functionality. NAVOLIS does not receive, access or store it. Information you provide in an enquiry is used to respond and investigate support requests. Smart Inventory does not use advertising tracking or analytics that transmit your inventory data, and NAVOLIS does not intentionally collect or sell personal data for advertising or tracking purposes.
6. Service providers and security
Because Smart Inventory does not send inventory data off your device, no hosting or infrastructure provider processes it. Email and website delivery do involve service providers, and this website loads third-party resources, including Google Fonts, as described in section 4. Protection of local data depends mainly on your device: keep it secured and locked, and treat any export, backup or copy you create as being under your own control. No method of storage is entirely risk-free. Do not send passwords or confidential inventory records by email.
7. Retention and deletion
Inventory records stay on your device until you delete them in the app or remove the app. NAVOLIS does not hold inventory records, so there is no server-side copy or backup for us to delete on request. What happens to local data when you uninstall the app, reset the device or restore it from a backup is governed by your operating system. Contact NAVOLIS to request deletion of personal information you supplied through a support enquiry.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction or deletion of personal information, or to restrict or object to certain processing. Contact NAVOLIS to make a request. We may need to verify your identity before responding. You may also have the right to contact your local data protection authority.
9. Children's privacy
NAVOLIS products are intended for business use and are not directed at children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page.
